Officers were contacted by the Mount Olive Township School District after the threat was discovered, Mount Olive police said.
The incident was investigated and it was quickly determined that the posted social media threat was not credible, police said. At no point during the investigation was the safety or security of the students or school facilities compromised, police said.
Both teenagers were charged with cyber harassment and were released to a parent, police said.
